The Richmond Conservation Commission (RCC) is planning interpretive trails for both the Crawley Preserve and Beaver River Park. This effort will involve installing numbered wooden marker posts along the existing trails where key points of interest are located. The RCC is preparing an interpretive pamphlet that informs hikers of interesting facts at each of the stations.
For the Crawley Preserve, the RCC is working with the Richmond Land Trust to complete the pamphlet and install the marker posts. The pamphlets will be available at the existing kiosk at the entrance. For the Beaver River Park, the RCC will need help to construct a kiosk for placing pamphlets and other information, and install marker posts along the grassland and river trails. Please contact Jim Turek at 401-539-9004 to get involved.
