Summer Recreation Program

May 20, 2020 Update:

After many conversations internally, with the State, and with other municipal officials, we have sadly determined that having summer recreation camp this summer would be unfeasible.  After hearing the State’s preliminary guidance, we thought we could make an attempt at it, however when we got deeper into the specifics, we realized it just wasn’t practical, nor would it be a traditional fun experience for your children.  This decision wasn’t easy, and it wasn’t taken lightly as we know summer camp is important to many Richmond families.

We have discussed alternative, fun events for children and families, and when we are able to gather in larger groups with less restrictions, we will move forward with those plans.  We look forward to being able to do this, and we know that everyone will be ready to get out and have some fun.

For those who have already registered for camp, our Finance Office will be refunding your money.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you.  We look forward to seeing you and your children in better days!
